Welcome Brian Ackerman to the Proximity Team!

Proximity Malt is pleased to introduce Brian Ackerman as our new Grain Accountant for the Monte Vista, CO location. Brian has earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Adams State University in Alamosa, CO.  He has focused on accounting throughout college and his career.  In 1993 he passed the CPA exam and has gained 25+ years of experience in industries including: fuel & lube, tourism & lodging, health insurance, commercial transportation and fresh produce.  Brian’s work experience will be essential to his role at Proximity Malt, where he will be working with our growers and settling grain contracts.   He will be reporting to Jake Capron, Regional Manager at the Monte Vista plant.

When Brian isn’t crunching numbers he is focused on his family and enjoys all the natural beauty around Monte Vista through hunting, fishing, camping and boating.  He and his family also raise goats, chickens and pigs in order to keep their (human) kids engaged in a rural lifestyle.   Proximity Malt is very happy to welcome Brian and his family to the team.
