Proximity Malt is proud to announce the hiring of David Poimboeuf to our sales team. David will be handling accounts in Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and eastern Texas. David is excited about the opportunity to deliver Proximity Malt’s innovative, sustainable solutions for brewers and distillers in the region.
David is a native of Thibodaux, LA and studied Business Administration at Nicholls State University. He went on to Culinary School at Delgado Community College in New Orleans before beginning a twenty year career in the Foodservice Industry. In 2017, David completed the Introduction to Practical Brewing Course with Dr. Charlie Bamforth at the University of California-Davis.
David’s passion for the flavors of food and craft beer is matched only by his industry experience. Prior to joining the Proximity Malt team, David worked for twelve years as a Regional Sales Manager with Cargill, Inc. David’s experience with Cargill included four years as the South Regional Account Executive for the Cargill Craft Malt Business Unit, where he worked with craft brewers and distillers across the Southeastern U.S.
Outside of work, David enjoys competing in charity cook-offs and spending time in the outdoors with his wife, their three sons, and their English Pointer “Buddy”.
