Welcome Vic McGary to the Proximity Team!

Proximity Malt is pleased to welcome Victor (Vic) McGary as our new Assistant Plant Manager in Monte Vista, CO.  Vic is an experienced mechanic, and when we say experienced we mean used to work on F-14’s kind of experienced.  Vic was enlisted in the Navy and the Army.  During that time, he focused on structural mechanics, hydraulics, basic electronics and weapons training.  After his service to the United States, Vic worked on a hops farm, quickly being promoted to farm supervisor.  From there he chose to work in the malt business taking a positon as a malt house operator.  He worked his way up from malt house operator to malt house production coordinator and finally senior maltster before deciding to join Proximity Malt.  When Vic isn’t malting he enjoys his family, elk hunting, fishing and raising horses. We are honored that he is part of the Proximity Team.
